Treva Miles, PhD

Director

Dr. Miles has her Doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her dissertation was on “The Lived Experience of Individuals in the Workplace who have a History of Intimate Partner Violence.” She has her Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Criminal Justice with a minor in English.  Dr. Miles served in the Marine Corps and veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm.  She is the mother of one daughter and grandmother of one granddaughter.  She has experienced many of lives ups and downs and she has always found away to get to the other side of joy and happiness. She dedicates her life to helping others achieve their goals and knowing their worth.

Rynata Trevyce, PhD

President & Ceo

Dr. Rynata Trevyce’s background is in Clinical Psychology and her work has been centered around assisting those in her community. Her PhD is in Clinical Psychology and she is working toward licensure in the state of Virginia. She earned her Qualified Mental Health Professional C/A certification in 2019. Dr. Rynata Trevyce is an advocate for injustices and she is well versed in social activism and is determined to leave her mark on the world. She wants to move the culture forward, specifically in relationship to mental health awareness. Dr. Rynata Trevyce is an essential team member and her assistance in bringing this non-profit to fruition has been unsurpassed.  She will continue to serve others in reminding them and/or helping them remember the importance of themselves and their value to the world.

Kay Hall

Secretary

Kay has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston and a minor in Public Relations.  She has been an Executive Assistant for seven years. She is currently based in Texas. Kay is very active in her community and is involved in multiple community outreach programs. Her passion is working to better assist the underprivileged. She is well versed in domestic and international travel and is determined to make a difference in today’s society for future generations.

Syreeta Steward

Director of Development

Syreeta grew up as a military brat, traveling to a multitude of cities, states, and countries. Syreeta gave birth to identical twins Jholie and Zhanè. Syreeta’s daughter, Jholie, went missing on a Friday night on January 12, 2018 and her body was found two weeks later in a park in Northern Virginia.  She was murdered by her ex-boyfriend.  She was 16. Syreeta is a strong advocate for teen Intimate Partner Violence awareness and Mental Health awareness and the voice for bringing attention to the epidemic of missing children. Syreeta’s voice must be heard in hope that she will be able to save someone else from the same fate as Jholie.

Deborah Steward

Deborah Steward graduated from high school as a single mother at the age of 17.  She married the man of her heart, David Stewart, and this year they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. Deborah has served her country as the wife of a Marine and she has traveled the world acclimating herself to different customs and cultures. Those experiences have given her a great appreciation for diverse beliefs and open dialog with young and old people alike. Deborah is the mother to four daughters, grandmother to ten grandchildren (including Jholie Moussa), and great grandmother to one child.

Zhanè Moussa

Youth Advocate

Zhané Moussa was born in Jacksonville, NC. She spent most of her childhood in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Her identical twin sister disappeared on Friday, January 12, 2018 and was found murdered on Friday, January 26, 2018. Her life was changed forever. She enjoys writing short stories as well as singing in her spare time. Zhanè has been an active member in her church on the youth praise and worship team. She feels it is her responsibility to be an advocate for youth who are being abused by their partners.
